How to double track readymade curtains
A double track allows you to hang Readymade Sheer Curtains on the front track for daytime privacy while using the back track for a Lining Curtain that adds insulation and night time privacy.
Urbane Readymade Click Tracks
1. Urbane Click Tracks
What you will need:
- 2x Urbane Click Tracks
- Select the length you require
2. Urbane Double Brackets
Recommended number of brackets required based on track length:
- 150cm Urbane Click Track x4 Double Click Brackets
- 200cm Urbane Click Track x5 Double Click Brackets
- 250cm Urbane Click Track (in-store only)Â x5Â Double Click Brackets
- 300cm Urbane Click Track (in-store only)Â x6Â Double Click Brackets
3. How to Install
- Screw Double Click Brackets to the wall at the required height.
Placement:
- Place a bracket at the edge of each side of your window frame. Please note, tracks can be positioned beyond the end brackets by 15cm each side.
- Place the remaining brackets evenly between to distribute the track/curtain weight equally. - Loosen the screws underneath the brackets slightly.
- Insert the back track into the back section of each bracket and push in until you hear a click. Track is now secured.
- Repeat step 3 to fit the front track into front section of the bracket.
Essentials Extendable Readymade Tracks

What you'll need:
- 2x Essentials Extendable Tracks
- Select the length you require
2. Essentials Brackets
Essential 140MM Double Brackets or Essentials 85MM Double Brackets.
(Select size based on how far you would like your curtains to sit from your window frame.)
Recommended number of brackets required based on track length:
- 85cm – 120cm Extendable Track x2 Double Brackets
- 120cm – 200cm Extendable Track x3 Double Brackets
- 200cm – 290cm Extendable Track x3 Double Brackets
- 290cm – 380cm Extendable Track x4 Double Brackets
3. How to Install
NOTE: there are two types of brackets supplied with Extendable Tracks to fit the inside and the outside of the track
- Stirrups marked INNER fit small track section
- Stirrups marked OUTER fit large track section
1. Fit Brackets to Wall
- Screw Double Brackets to the wall at the required height.
- Placement: Place a bracket at the edge of each side of your window frame. Please note, tracks can be positioned beyond the end brackets by 15cm each side.
- Place the remaining brackets evenly between to distribute the track/curtain weight equally.
2. Attach Stirrups from Extendable Track to Double Bracket
- Take the brackets supplied with the Extendable Track and remove the bracket section leaving the stirrups and screws as you go.
- Screw two stirrups of same size to each Double Bracket - one to the back of the bracket one to the front bracket. Ensure stirrups are correctly positioned to align with the track e.g. inner track section to fit inner stirrups.
- Standing in front of the brackets insert the back track into the top rear of the stirrups, pull track towards you until it snaps into each back stirrup.
- Repeat step 4 to fit front track into front stirrups. Ensure all tracks are secure.
