Triple-weave or triple woven curtains are also known as dim-out curtains. The tightly woven fabric is perfect for heat and cold insulation and is a great option for bedroom and living rooms as they are easy care and drape beautifully. Â
What does Triple-weave curtains mean?
Triple-weave fabric is made up of three cleverly interwoven layers, one of these layers is a black thread woven into the centre which helps to keep out the light and insulate. These layers create a soft finish which makes for curtains that drape beautifully and is just one of the many reasons why they are a crowd favourite.Â
ALL of our triple-weave curtains are machine washable, meaning there is no need to pay to get them professionally cleaned. Simply pop them in your washing machine on a cold wash, hang them out to dry and your curtains are ready to hang back up. They can also be pressed with a cool iron. Triple-weave curtains are an ideal choice for kids’ bedrooms or other areas more prone to dirt and mess.

What are the benefits?
- Triple-weave curtains are well known for being great light filters. Our triple-weave curtains come with a thick backing of dim-out fibres woven directly into the reserve side of the fabric. This provides great room-darkening without a complete light block out
- These curtains are UV resistant, meaning they help to keep out those harmful rays from the sun, protecting not only you but also your furniture
- Mould resistant
- Dim-out
- Fire-retardant
- Machine washable
- Effective at reducing noises from outside
- Helps to insulate your home against the heat and cold (for improved energy efficiency)
- Durability -Â Triple-weave tend to be more durable than Block out curtains which can become brittle and/or perish due to high exposure to light
Design Tip: If you love the sound of triple-weave curtains but aren’t ready to change up your current curtains, a great solution is to add an attachable triple-weave lining which attaches to the back of your curtains. This way you get all of the great benefits of a triple-weave curtain, without having to purchase all new curtains.
